Tagxedo
Tagxedo allows students to turn their words into a word cloud. Certain words can be prioritised to appear larger on the word cloud and the word cloud can be put into one of the many shapes tagxedo allows. Tagxedo is easy to use and does not require an account to create word clouds. Tagxedo is currently in beta and is free to use, however the creators do state that they intend to make some features (eg. custom fonts and shapes) only available in the full paid version. Below is my own personal example tagxedo showcasing some of my favourite things and activities, it also shows how the world clouds can be made into different shapes.
Tagxedo can be used by students to create an about me, where they can put some of their interests into the cloud and put it in the shape they desire. It can also be used to create a word cloud on a topic that has been learned in class so that students can use it to revise the topic at a later date. There are some negatives to Tagxedo, these include not being able to use it on Google Chrome (as it no longer supports Silverlight, which is needed to run Tagxedo) and that once the beta is over certain important features will only be accessible in the paid version.
Tagxedo would be in the modification category as it allows students to easily create word clouds and it would be in the create category of Bloom's taxonomy as students are able to create and design their own personal word cloud.
