Pixton
Pixton is an online cartoon creation tool that can be used to create comics. Pixton is simple to use, and does not require the user to be artistic to make great comics. An account does need to be made to create comics, however this is free and only requires an email. There is an option for a paid premium account (price varies depending on amount of students) that allows teachers to create and add students to groups, however for most teachers and students the free accounts will be able to provide the services they need. Creating comics is simple process, just click on the create a comic now button and the site walks you through each step of creating your comic. An example comic I made can be seen to the right, utilising the background feature of Pixton.

Pixton can not only be used to create comics, it can be used to make character maps, mind maps and posters. In the class students could create comics in a history class- recreating historical events; english- creating character maps of characters from the story they are reading; or science- creating a poster about space (example below).
Overall Pixton is a fun and engaging tool that students most students would enjoy. Creating comics and other pieces of work is simple and easy, and does not require any artistic ability. Pixton would fit in the augmentation category as it improves upon creating comics on paper. It would also fit into the create category of Bloom's taxonomy as students design and create their own comics.
